How does your training system work? Back to question list

Our instructors come to your site in Calgary, Alberta. Even if you're outside Calgary, we can arrange for computer courses or seminars wherever, whenever (travel time and expenses extra).

You can have one-on-one or group training, customized to your goals and learning style.  You can choose informal "Q & A" sessions, structured courses that include workbooks and certificates of completion, or project kickstarts when you have a specific project in mind.  More info about session types

Once you've decided what type of training you want, give us a call. We'll arrange a time and place that works for you. It's as easy as that.  We teach you on your own computer, so there are never any surprises when you try things on your own after your training.

We work with all skill levels, from absolute beginners to power users. Our instructors excel at breaking down tasks into simple, step-by-step processes to make your learning easy!

Keep in mind that if you want to learn a software program, you need to have a computer with the software loaded. If you want to learn the software but don't have the program or don't have a computer on site, let us know when you register, and we'll bring out a computer with the software on it for you to use just during class time (there may be rental charges for groups).

What if I don't have the computer(s) I need? Back to question list
If you need a computer to train on, let us know.  We can bring an extra laptop free of charge.  If you need more than one extra computer, we can help you arrange for laptop rentals to accommodate your group.

How do I get more information?

Please give us a call at (403) 269-2347, or email us.

When are appointments available?

Our hours are flexible. We have appointments available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. We also have a few slots available on weekday evenings and weekends (there is an extra charge for evening and weekend appointments).

Please give us a call - we'll arrange a time that will work for you.

What is the minimum amount of time for an appointment?

For an appointment where we meet with you in person, the minimum time is 1.5 hours. If you're calling or emailing us using your Answer Card, the minimum time is 10 minutes.

What is an "Answer Card"?

An Answer Card lets you purchase phone support at a reduced rate. For more information, please click here.

How do I register for a session?

To register for a session, please give us a call at (403) 269-2347.

What if I need to cancel a session?

If you need to cancel a course that you've booked, just call us at (403) 269-2347 at least 24 hours prior, and we'll reschedule it for you. Please refer to Computer Software Training Policies for complete details.

Are there limits on the size of groups?

We consider a group size of 5 - 10 people to be the best for our hands-on group training so that people can get individual attention.

If you have a larger group, we'll help you figure out the best way to train them by using our assessment tools to determine what group size will provide the most benefit.

What are my payment options?

You can pay for sessions by cash, cheque, or money order. If you prefer to use a credit card, you can pay online using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. You can also pay online using PayPal.

How much does the training cost?

Most of our structured courses give you the equivalent of an 8-hour course in only 3 - 4 hours. For more information on fees, please call us at (403) 269-2347.

What if I book an appointment, but it's not long enough?

All the topics are strictly "learn at your own pace". The instructor will take as much time as you need to understand the material.

The estimated times are just guidelines, so if you need extra time to get through the material, we can book another appointment for you. Sometimes we may even be able to extend the length of your session on that day, if your instructor has time free after your session.

What if I book an appointment that's longer than I need?

If you finish in less time than you've booked, feel free to ask the instructor about any other topics that interest you..

What if I'm not happy with the course material or the instructor?

Please tell us if there's something you'd like changed. We appreciate the feedback and are always striving to improve.

If you feel that the material was not presented adequately or understandably, we will send an instructor to answer your additional questions about the material free of charge. If you're still not satisfied, we'll refund 100% of your money.

Where are classes held? Back to question list
Classes are held at your home or office - our instructors come to you.  If you're located outside Calgary, Alberta, there may be additional charges for travel or time to get to your location.  Please contact us for more information.

What if I'm outside of Calgary, Alberta? Back to question list
If you're not in the Calgary area, or if you need to train team members who are in various locations, you can choose a Live Online session instead.  Online sessions are exactly the same as in-person sessions, with a live instructor who will lead the class and answer all your questions during the session.  All you need is an internet and phone connection.

Are the Live Online sessions "canned"? Back to question list
No, all our Live Online sessions are led in real time by a live instructor.  You'll need an internet connection so that you can follow along with the course material on your screen, and you'll use your telephone connection to listen to the instructor and ask questions.

You can control the content of the online sessions the same as if you were in the same room with the instructor.  You can ask him/her to speed up or slow down, concentrate on certain topics or skip over others, and stop the instructor to ask questions whenever you want.  If you're having trouble with a concept, you can even show your screen to your instructor, so that he/she can see where you need help.

The only difference between an online session and an in-person session is that the instructor isn't in the same room with you.

What can I expect when I book a session? Back to question list
When you book a session with us, you can expect a consistent experience, and high standards of training.  We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
